One of my favorite bakeries in Pittsburgh, tucked down in one of it's more up and coming neighborhoods in Millvale. Order more than you think you should because you are bound to eat something on the way home, and then something else as soon as you get in the house.
We would almost turn around and drive 5 hrs back to Pittsburgh to have another couign amann but have decided that they should remain a rare treat...if we could get our hands on one anytime we liked, we would be two fat little balls
Maria behind the counter was awesome! Very efficient and so helpful! My order was put together fast! Mr.Chatellier excels in one thing that many French bakeries fail. He puts together very light, flavorful masterpieces. Many French bakeries I have tried create amazing looking pastries but when you bite into them you realize how heavy and sweet they are! And leaving you feel like you were hit with a hammer after eating their pastries! But this bakery is different! Mr.Chatellier does an exceptional job of balancing flavors and richness. Thank you for your masterpieces! I am a big fan! And the croissants were out of this world!
